Monsoon floods devastate Punjab’s crops, millions at risk of food crisis: Analysis
Pakistan has issued an emergency alert, warning of more floods across Punjab province and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.This comes after a surge in the Sutlej River - because of continuous heavy rains and water flowing in from India.
Rescue teams in the region say they're dealing with the worst floods on record.
At least 881 people have died across the country since June.
Meanwhile in northern India, floods have killed at least five people as torrential rains continue to lash the Jammu region.
The swollen Chenab and Tawi rivers have triggered landslides and damaged many roads.
Officials say that 10,000 people have been moved from the riverbanks in the capital, New Delhi.
And large swathes of farmland are submerged under water in the state of Punjab.
Devinder Sharma is an agricultural and food security expert.
He spoke to us from Chandigarh in India's Punjab region, about the extent of the damage.
