American Airlines Trip Report flying from New York JFK to Milan Malpensa onboard one of the American Airlines Boeing 777-200ER on a very changing late-winter afternoon.An amazing flight across the Atlantic with American Airlines. The flight was overbooked... but due to the bad weather on the East Coast, some passenger missed their connections, and we ended up having the middle seat empty! Those who got it on a long-haul flight know the huge difference it makes :)
It was a really weird day in terms of weather: when we arrived at the airport, it was rainy, then it became windy, then it started to snow, and, just before our departure, the clouds dissappeared and we could enjoy a great sunset.

After some interesting planespotting at JFK's Terminal 8, we boarded the Triple-7 that would take us to Milan. We took 9ff to the south and quickly made a 180° to start crossing the Atlantic. We departed almost 1 hour late due to the bad weather, but thanks to a very strong jet stream over the Atlantic, we arrived on time in Milan.
The absolute highlight of this flight was the descent over the French Alps. The views of the mountains fully covered by snow were just amazing. The perfect way to end a very nice flight with American Airlines.
