È il punto da cui parte Michela Marzano a Ignoto X: la professoressa richiama la nascita del Movimento 17 ottobre, successiva alle prime mobilitazioni, per contestare una lettura che riconduca tutto a un’unica regia. “I giovani sono scesi in piazza perché hanno cominciato a dire: «Guardate che questo mondo così com’è non ci va bene»”, osserva, indicando un disagio che riguarda anche la difficoltà di trovare un senso e una prospettiva per la propria vita.Marzano segnala al tempo stesso un fenomeno che considera “pericolosissimo”: l’avvicinamento tra alcune frange di estrema sinistra e la radicalizzazione islamica. Nella sua analisi, riconoscere questi tentativi di alimentare la violenza richiede anche di comprendere il malcontento sul quale possono fare presa.
