El pasado 28 de septiembre, el actual alcalde de la ciudad de Nueva York, Eric Adams, anunció su decisión de retirar su candidatura a la reelección. En este contexto realizamos una entrevista exclusiva con el candidato demócrata a la alcaldía, Zohran Mamdani, en la que cuenta cómo está llevando a cabo su campaña y cuál es su su propuesta para lograr una ciudad asequible para la clase trabajadora. Mamdani habla sobre su plataforma electoral, su apoyo a los derechos palestinos y explica por qué se define como socialista demócrata. Además, expresa su opinión sobre la decisión de Adams de retirar su postulación y la especulación de que sus votos se trasladarían al principal oponente de Mamdani, el desacreditado exgobernador de Nueva York Andrew Cuomo. “Si Donald Trump está tratando de allanarle el camino a Andrew Cuomo es porque sabe que Andrew Cuomo le allanará el camino a la agenda de Donald Trump”, señala Mamdani.
