Almost every popular personal finance rule we follow was invented in the US, in the 1960s, 70s and 2000s, for their interest rates, their inflation, their stock market. They were never designed for India.

So I break down each of these famous rules and show exactly why they fall apart the moment you apply them to Indian inflation, Indian interest rates, and Indian salaries.
