250 Strohballen bei Schriesheim in Flammen - Feuerwehr rechnet mit einem 12-stündigen Einsatz
Schriesheim: Etwa 250 Rundstrohballen sind am frühen Freitagmorgen auf einem Feld bei Schriesheim in Brand geraten. Gegen 3:50 Uhr wurde die Feuerwehr alarmiert, nachdem gemeldet worden war, dass eine Strohmiete in Flammen steht. Beim Eintreffen der Einsatzkräfte standen die Strohballen bereits in voller Ausdehnung in Brand. Eine in unmittelbarer Nähe befindliche, kleinere Strohmiete konnte durch das schnelle Eingreifen der Feuerwehr bislang vor den Flammen geschützt werden. Neben der Feuerwehr Schriesheim-Stadt sind auch die Abteilung Altenbach sowie die Feuerwehr Dossenheim im Einsatz. Zur Sicherstellung der Wasserversorgung musste eine rund 500 Meter lange Leitung verlegt werden.Ein Landwirt unterstützt die Einsatzkräfte mit einem Traktor, indem er die Strohballen auseinanderzieht, sodass diese gezielter abgelöscht werden können. Feuerwehrkommandant rechnet mit einem rund zwölfstündigen Einsatz. Der Wert eines Rundstrohballens liegt bei etwa 30 bis 40 Euro. Nach ersten Erkenntnissen wird von Brandstiftung ausgegangen. Erst am 26. Februar 2026 waren im nahegelegenen Dossenheimer Ortsteil Schwabenheimer Hof rund 20 Heuballen in Brand geraten.
