Terkait dengan proses hukum ini, polisi tak menampik bakal meminta keterangan dari pihak ponpes termasuk pimpinan.
Sejauh ini total ada 17 saksi yang sudah dimintai keterangan oleh penyidik gabungan Polda Jatim.
Penyelidikan dilakukan oleh Tim Khusus Gabungan dari anggota Ditreskrimsus dan Ditreskrimum Polda Jatim serta Satreskrim Polresta Sidoarjo.
Kapolda Jatim Irjen Pol Nanang Avianto dalam keterangan pers pada Rabu (8/10) mengatakan, 17 saksi yang diperiksa tersebut berasal dari kalangan santri, pengurus, warga sekitar, serta ahli.
Untuk ahli yang dilibatkan dalam proses ini meliputi ahli teknik sipil dan ahli bangunan gedung.
Nanang menyebut, jumlah saksi yang diperiksa nantinya akan bertambah seiring bergulirnya waktu.
