Os big shots da Volkswagen na Alemanha estão apavorados com o fracasso de seus carros elétricos. Esses modelos vendem cada vez menos até mesmo na própria Alemanha.
Por isso, neste ano a Volkswagen estabeleceu duas parcerias com fábricas de elétricos, uma na China com a Xpeng e a outra nos Estados Unidos com a Rivian. O objetivo é acelerar o processo de modernização de sua antiga plataforma de elétricos.
A VW vai investir nestas parcerias mais de cinco bilhões de dólares. Mas ainda assim os acionistas da empresa também estão preocupados.
Essa inquietação existe, pois mesmo com esses gigantescos investimentos, não se sabe quanto tempo a marca levará para ter competitividade nesta corrida mundial dos elétricos, que é liderada, por enquanto, com uma boa margem pelas fábricas chinesas.
