Wasserwege durchziehen die Millionen-Metropole. Die Spree, Seen, Kanäle. Hier tobt das Leben.Aber wer etwa beim Landwehrkanal zwischen Neukölln und Kreuzberg genau hinschaut, sieht hinter den Massen der Flaneure und Feiernden immer mehr Zelte in den Büschen. Hier wohnen die Flussmenschen von Berlin.
Dabei ist der Kontrast hart. Die einen kaufen in Luxusläden Edel-Marken und genießen die Sonne.
Die anderen können bei extrem gestiegenen Mietpreisen nicht mehr mithalten. Sie liegen ein paar Meter weiter unter elendsten Bedingungen zwischen den Büschen am Ufer. Hier haben sie ein wenig Ruhe und Wasser. Die Pfandflaschen der Feiernden, bares Geld für die Wohnungslosen und die Dealer im Görlitzer Park sind nah.
BILD-Chefreporter Til Biermann traf hier Wisie (54), Reza (42) und Ralf (28). Außerdem sprach er mit Neuköllns Sozialstadtrat Hannes Rehfeld (36) von der CDU.
