Darf Deutschland Benziner behalten?Das Verbrenner-Aus ab 2035 wackelt: Nach dem Autogipfel im Kanzleramt kündigt CDU-Chef Friedrich Merz an, sich auf EU-Ebene für eine flexiblere Umsetzung einzusetzen. SPD und Union sprechen von mehr Pragmatismus – etwa durch die Einbeziehung von Plug-in-Hybriden und E-Fuels. Hintergrund ist der massive Stellenabbau in der Autoindustrie: Über 50.000 Jobs sind bereits verloren, bis 2030 könnten weitere 220.000 folgen. Merz betont: „Einen harten Schnitt wird es nicht geben.“ Die Industrie hofft auf ein Hilfspaket – doch Einigkeit zwischen Regierung und Opposition sieht anders aus.
