Jaishankar Conveys India's 'Strong Protest' Against Deadly US Naval Attacks | FP Video
India has lodged a strong diplomatic protest with the United States after deadly naval strikes off the coast of Oman killed three Indian mariners. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar raised the issue in a conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He conveyed New Delhi's deep concern over military actions affecting civilian maritime traffic. The Palau-flagged vessel, MT Settebello, came under attack on June 10 with 24 Indian crew members on board. Three Indian crew members were killed in the attack. India has maintained that lethal actions against commercial shipping are unjustified and that military operations must not endanger civilian seafarers or international maritime trade. The Ministry of External Affairs has also summoned the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy, underscoring the seriousness of New Delhi's concerns.---------------------------------
