Sebab Soekarno sempat menolak rencana Jenderal Soedirman untuk mendukungnya dalam perang Gerilya di Yogyakarta.
Saat Soedirman hendak menemui pasukannya di Yogya, ia malah diarahkan oleh Simatupang untuk menemui Presiden Soekarno dan Bung Hatta lebih dulu.
Setibanya di Gedung Agung, Jenderal Soedirman hanya diam mematung di beranda.
Bung Karno mengalah menghampiri Soedirman dan memeluk sang Jenderal.
Sayangnya momen itu telat diabadikan.
Sehingga ia meminta Frans Mendur untuk memotret ulang saat ia memeluk Soedirman.
Tapi lagi-lagi Jenderal Soedirman tak membalas pelukan Bung Karno.(*)
