Ada Potensi Migas di 4 Pulau 'Rebutan' Aceh-Sumut?, Luhut: Belum Tahu, Mungkin Saja
KOMPAS.TV - Ketua Dewan Ekonomi Nasional, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, menyatakan belum mengetahui secara pasti ada atau tidaknya potensi minyak dan gas (migas) di 4 pulau yang tengah menjadi sengketa antara Provinsi Aceh dan Sumatera Utara.Luhut mengatakan, hingga saat ini belum ada kepastian terkait potensi migas di wilayah tersebut, meskipun kemungkinan potensi itu ada.
Selain itu, Luhut juga menyinggung potensi investasi di bidang resort di Kabupaten Aceh Singkil.
Sementara itu, Badan Pengelola Migas Aceh (BPMA) mendorong dilakukan kajian lebih mendalam mengenai potensi migas di sekitar 4 pulau sengketa tersebut.
Berdasarkan hasil kajian BPMA terhadap enam sumur eksplorasi, satu sumur ditemukan mengandung gas yang dikategorikan sebagai "discovery". Namun, potensi migas ini berada sekitar 40 kilometer dari empat pulau sengketa dan masih memerlukan kajian lebih lanjut dari otoritas terkait untuk identifikasi yang lebih akurat, termasuk potensi di wilayah empat pulau itu sendiri.
