Aksi unjuk rasa menolak undang-undang kenaikan pajak di Kenya, berujung ricuh.Kepolisian Kenya menembaki ribuan pedemo, di depan gedung parlemen ibu kota di Nairobi, pada Selasa.
Petugas medis menyebut, sedikitnya 10 pendemo tewas, dan puluhan lainnya luka-luka, akibat tembakan polisi yang berupaya membubarkan massa.
Bentrokan pecah di pusat kota saat ribuan pendemo mengepung gedung parlemen serta menyerbu kediaman Presiden Kenya.
Upaya polisi untuk membubarkan massa dengan tembakan gas air mata dan peluru air gagal, dan semakin memperburuk keadaan.
Unjuk rasa menentang kenaikan pajak yang dianggap semakin memperburuk krisis ekonomi di Kenya.
Pengunjuk rasa juga menuntut agar Presiden Wiliam Ruto untuk mundur.
