Pria yang akrab disapa Cak Afif ini resmi ditunjuk dalam rapat pleno RI yang berlangsung tertutup hari ini, Kamis (4/7/2024).
Sementara itu KPU secara kelembagaan enggan mengomentari putusan DKPP atas kasus asusila yang dilakukan Hasyim Asyari.
KPU menyatakan segera berkomunikasi dengan DPR ihwal pergantian posisi ketua pasca-pemecatan Hasyim.
Selain itu, KPU menegaskan pihaknya akan fokus meneruskan tindak lanjut Mahkamah Konstitusi atas perselisihan hasil pemilihan umum (PHPU). KPU juga menjamin bahwa tahapan Pilkada 2024 tidak akan terganggu terkait pergantian posisi Ketua KPU ini.
