Schweres Unwetter trifft Hockenheim: Über 30 Einsatzstellen – Bäume stürzen um, Autos beschädigt
Hockenheim - Ein starkes Gewitter mit Sturm und Starkregen hat am Sonntagnachmittag ab etwa 17.45 Uhr in Hockenheim für zahlreiche Schäden und erhebliche Verkehrsbehinderungen gesorgt.Heftige Sturmböen ließen zahlreiche Bäume umstürzen. Zudem lösten sich Dachziegel und stürzten auf Straßen und Gehwege. Auch mehrere Fahrzeuge wurden durch umgestürzte Bäume, herabgefallene Äste oder herabstürzende Dachziegel beschädigt.
Die Feuerwehr war über Stunden im Dauereinsatz und musste mehr als 30 Einsatzstellen im gesamten Stadtgebiet abarbeiten. Gemeinsam mit der Polizei wurden Gefahrenstellen abgesichert und die entstandenen Schäden beseitigt.
Besonders betroffen war die L722: Sie musste zwischen der B39 und der Talhauskreuzung in beiden Fahrtrichtungen vollständig gesperrt werden. Grund dafür war ein umgestürzter Baum, der die Fahrbahn blockierte.
Die Aufräumarbeiten dauerten bis in die späten Abendstunden und waren größtenteils bis Mitternacht abgeschlossen. Glücklicherweise wurde bei dem Unwetter niemand verletzt.
