Le triomphe sénégalais : L'acteur Ibrahima Mbaye, Sotigui d'Or 2025 !
L'acteur sénégalais Ibrahima Mbaye est le lauréat du prestigieux Sotigui d'Or 2025, qui récompense le meilleur acteur d'Afrique et de sa diaspora. Il succède à la Camerounaise Stéphanie Tum.Ce prix est une consécration majeure pour l'artiste, marquant ses 30 ans de carrière. Il a d'ailleurs remporté le Sotigui Du Meilleur Acteur de la diaspora. Son pays le Sénégal a eu engros 5 prix au cours de cette nuit de distinction.
Ibrahima Mbaye a reçu une dotation de 2 millions de francs CFA (offerts par Coris Bank International et AGL). Il a exhorté ses confrères à la rigueur et à la vérité dans leur métier, voyant cette reconnaissance comme un nouveau départ et un encouragement pour le cinéma africain.
