Die RSF-Miliz und die sudanesische Armee verüben dort derzeit Massenhinrichtungen, Vergewaltigungen und Angriffe auf Zivilisten. Laut UN handelt es sich um die schwerste humanitäre Krise der Welt. Zwölf Millionen Menschen sind auf der Flucht, 150.000 wurden bereits getötet. Staatsministerin Serap Güler fordert internationale Maßnahmen, um den Schutz von Zivilisten und Helfern sicherzustellen. Forscher der Universität Yale schätzen, dass es in den kommenden 1-2 Wochen mehr Tote geben könnte, als in zwei Jahren Gaza-Krieg.
