La Democrazia Cristiana sembra essere tornata, e con essa gli scandali che continuano a colpire la Regione Sicilia. Alla “Festa dell’Amicizia”, organizzata dalla DC siciliana a Ribera, in provincia di Agrigento, erano presenti vari politici, tra cui Carlo Auteri, ex deputato regionale di Fratelli d'Italia, coinvolto in uno scandalo legato ai contributi dell'ARS destinati a delle associazioni teatrali riconducibili alla sua famiglia. Auteri è stato anche al centro di uno scontro interno a Fratelli d'Italia che ha diviso il partito tra Giovanni Donzelli, favorevole alla sua espulsione, e Manlio Messina, intenzionato a proteggerlo.Ma a fare scalpore, non c’è solo la questione dell’uso dei fondi per la cultura per iniziative di genere vario. Ci sono anche tutti quelli che vanno alle istituzioni religiose. Un caso curioso è quello di Modica, piccola città del Ragusano, che ha ricevuto 615.000 euro di fondi, una cifra superiore a quella destinata alle ben più grandi Palermo e Catania.
