Sementara itu, Israel juga diklaim mengalami kerugian di Gaza.
Hal itu lantaran banyaknya tentara Israel yang tewas dalam peperangan.
Atas situasi tersebut, Gaza mendorong Israel untuk memperpanjang wajib militer menjadi 36 bulan.
Pasukan Israel menderita kekurangan tenaga kerja setelah sepuluh bulan memerangi sayap bersenjata Hamas, Brigade Qassam, di Gaza
Para menteri di Kabinet Keamanan Israel memutuskan untuk memperpanjang wajib militer menjadi 36 bulan.
Yakni dengan alasan kekurangan tenaga kerja yang disebabkan oleh kerugian yang diderita dalam perang di Gaza.
Keputusan tersebut akan diajukan untuk mendapatkan persetujuan pemerintah dan kemudian diajukan untuk legislasi Knesset.
Perpanjangan menjadi 36 bulan akan berlangsung selama delapan tahun.
Setelah itu akan dikurangi menjadi 32 bulan lagi, tergantung kondisi keamanan.
