El arte del cloisonné en China

El nombre Cloisonné está estrechamente ligado a la historia de la dinastía Ming de China, originándose principalmente por el auge de esta artesanía durante la era Jingtai. Jingtai fue el nombre de la era del emperador Zhu Qiyu de la dinastía Ming. En aquel tiempo, los talleres imperiales realizaron grandes mejoras y promovieron ampliamente la técnica del “esmaltado sobre base de cobre con filigrana”, elevando su nivel artístico a su punto más alto. Las piezas de la era Jingtai solían tener esmalte azul como fondo, con patrones exquisitos y colores vibrantes.
