Il Veneto approva la legge sul fine vita, Zaia: "Una risposta doverosa"
(Agenzia Vista) Il Consiglio regionale del Veneto ha approvato la legge di iniziativa popolare sul fine vita. Il Veneto è la quarta regione italiana ad approvare una legge sul fine vita dopo Toscana, Sardegna ed Emilia-Romagna. Il Veneto è la prima Regione governata dal centrodestra a dare il via libera.Il provvedimento stabilisce "procedure e tempi per l'assistenza sanitaria regionale al suicidio medicalmente assistito". In Consiglio regionale 32 voti favorevoli, 5 astenuti e 14 contrari.
"Con questa legge si approva sostanzialmente, nell'alveo della legittimità giuridica, una procedura che sia rispondente alla gestione, per quanto possibile, dell'eventuale paziente che ha l'ok da parte del comitato etico. È stato doveroso dare questa risposta a quei pochissimi pazienti che si presentano". Così il presidente del Consiglio regionale del Veneto Luca Zaia, in merito all'approvazione della legge di iniziativa popolare sul fine vita. Zaia ha ricordato che in Veneto le domande "sono state 31 dal 2019 ad oggi e che solo tre hanno avuto l'autorizzazione del comitato etico".
