El caso de Cary Silvente, madre de Anna Sofía Benítez, vuelve a poner sobre la mesa una práctica cada vez más común en Cuba: grabar a funcionarios en pleno ejercicio de sus funciones.

El argumento del régimen se apoya en el artículo 393 del Código Penal, sobre la “imagen e intimidad”. Pero el problema no es la existencia de esa norma, sino cómo se usa. En la práctica, se convierte en una herramienta para castigar a quien documenta el poder. Porque en cualquier sociedad donde exista control ciudadano, grabar a un funcionario en un espacio público no solo es válido… es necesario.
