Why Learn English Grammar If AI Can Fix Everything?
If AI tools can correct your English, do you still need to learn grammar?Many English learners now use tools like grammar checkers, translators, and AI assistants to improve their writing. These tools can be helpful, but they can’t replace your own understanding of how English works.
In this video, I share 10 reasons why learning English grammar is still valuable, even in the age of AI.
A basic understanding of grammar helps you:
• communicate clearly and confidently
• recognize and correct your own mistakes
• understand spoken and written English more easily
• express your ideas accurately
• make thoughtful choices about tone and meaning
AI can support your learning, but you are the one responsible for your words. When you understand grammar, you can use technology as a helpful assistant instead of becoming dependent on it.
If you’re an intermediate or advanced English learner, this lesson will help you see the long-term value of studying grammar, especially with guidance from a teacher.
The goal isn't perfect grammar! The goal is accurate grammar so that you can have clear, effective communication. Aim to be a confident communicator who is aware of grammar patterns so that your language can be adjusted to the situation. "Correct" grammar isn't always appropriate grammar.
