The Real Reason They're Attacking Bitcoin's Cryptography
Cory Klippsten: "An altcoin promoter has a terrifying story to tell you, and an Ethereum roadmap to promote at the end of it."An Ethereum employee called for "bunker mode," warning that Bitcoin's digital signatures could become vulnerable, in the worst case, in "months, not years." His evidence: AI has made progress on other mathematical problems. There was no new attack on Bitcoin's cryptography, no demonstrated shortcut for recovering Bitcoin private keys, and no calculation supporting the timeline.

Yehuda Lindell, head of cryptography at Coinbase, called the episode the very definition of FUD. And standard ETH accounts use the very same ECDSA cryptography the warning is about.
