মির্চি গল্প গোল্ডমাইনের নিবেদন শ্রী শরদিন্দু বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের প্রেমের কাহিনি—‘রিমঝিম’। এটি তৃতীয় পর্ব। ছোট্ট পেশেন্ট পিউয়ের মায়ায় বারবার জড়িয়ে পড়ছে প্রিয়ংবদা। শঙ্খনাথবাবুর সঙ্গেও বাড়ছে অন্তরঙ্গতা। মাঝখান থেকে ডক্টর মন্মথ করের উপস্থিতি তার বিরক্তির কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়ায়। প্রিয়ংবদা সকালে বাড়ি ফিরে শুক্লার কাছে শোনে, আগের রাতে শুক্লার কাছে এসেছিলেন ডক্টর নিরঞ্জন দাস। তখন অজ্ঞাতপরিচয় এক পুরুষের ফোন আসে। শুক্লার কাছে সে জানতে চায় ডক্টর দাস সেখানে আছেন কি না। দুজনের বুঝতে বাকি থাকে না যে তাদের গোপন সম্পর্কের কথা কেউ জেনে গেছে। শুক্লা আতঙ্কিত। তখনই ডক্টর মন্মথ করের ফোন আসে। শুক্লা ফোন ধরেই নির্বাক হয়ে যায়। ডক্টর মন্মথ কর প্রিয়ংবদাকে চায়ের নেমন্তন্ন করে। প্রিয়ংবদা এড়িয়ে যায়। ফোন ছাড়তেই শুক্লা জানায় আগের দিনের অজ্ঞাত ব্যক্তির গলার স্বর ও কথা বলার ধরণ অবিকল মন্মথ করের মতো। সেদিন রাত্রে পিউয়ের ডিউটি করার সময় হঠাৎ পিছন থেকে এক মহিলা কণ্ঠের ডাকে চমকে ওঠে প্রিয়ংবদা।
