Hier zu sehen, sind die Freiwilligen Feuerwehren Wettmar, Engensen, Thönse und Ramlingen-Ehlershausen auf Einsatzfahrt zur Traditionsübung "Alter Löschbezirk".Die traditionsreiche Übung geht auf die Gründung des „Alten Löschbezirks“ im Jahr 1908 zurück. Ursprünglich standen Wettkämpfe zwischen den Wehren im Mittelpunkt. Seit vielen Jahren werden jedoch realitätsnahe Einsatzübungen durchgeführt.
Besonders in diesem Video dürfte der MTW der Feuerwehr Engensen sein. Dieser basiert auf einem Mercedes Sprinter mit Allradfahrgestell, und Geländebereifung. Die optische Sichtbarkeit könnte (Nach deutscher Norm) wohl kaum besser sein. Neben zwei Blaulichtbalken verfügt der MTW über zwei Frontblitzer und vier Kreuzungsblitzer (Intersectionlights). Akustisch macht der MTW mit einer elektrischen Sondersignalanlage und einem Presslufthorn aus dem Hause Martin Eindruck. Für einen MTW ist dies schon ein echter Hingucker!

This long-standing exercise dates back to the founding of the “Old Fire District” in 1908. Originally, the focus was on competitions between the fire brigades. For many years now, however, the event has featured realistic emergency response drills.
Of particular interest in this video is the personnel transport vehicle (MTW) of the Engensen Fire Department. It is based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with an all-wheel-drive chassis and off-road tires. In terms of visual conspicuity, it could hardly be better (by German standards). In addition to two light bars, the MTW is equipped with two front flashers and four intersection lights.
