JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Komisioner KPU, August Mellaz menyebut bahwa sirekap tetap akan digunakan di pilkada serentak 2024. Untuk memaksimalkan kinerja sirekap di proses rekapitulasi di pilkada nanti, sistem sirekap juga akan terus diperbaiki.
Menurut August Mellaz, penggunaan sirekap dalam pelaksanaan pilkada serentak tidak dapat dihindari. Karena saat ini, setiap pekerjaan KPU memanfaatkan teknologi dan informasi.
Namun penggunaan sirekap di Pilpres lalu, perlu di evaluasi. Saat ini KPU sedang mengevaluasi penggunakaan sirekap dengan komisi 2 DPR RI, pemerintah dan lembaga penyelenggara pemilu lainnya. Termasuk peluang penggunaan sistem rekapitulasi lain di pilkada akan dibahas di rapat tersebut.
