Escrito en el siglo VIII, esta obra fundamental, la más influyente sobre la medicina tradicional tibetana, fue inscrita en el registro regional para Asia y el Pacífico del Programa Memoria del Mundo en 2018, y cinco años después fue añadida al registro internacional de la Memoria del Mundo de la Unesco.
