Perjuangan korban adopsi ilegal Belanda untuk jadi WNI

Ribuan anak Indonesia diadopsi ke Belanda pada periode 1970 hingga 1980. Tidak sedikit adopsi itu ditempuh dengan cara-cara ilegal. Sebagian dari korban adopsi ilegal ini sekarang ingin kembali menjadi warga negara Indonesia (WNI).

Salah satu korbannya diadopsi ke Belanda saat berumur tiga minggu. Dia diberi nama Scipio Jean Luc. Tiga dekade kemudian, dia mengubah namanya menjadi Indra Jaya Laksana.

Indra tercatat sebagai warga negara Belanda, tapi dia tidak pernah merasa demikian.

"Yang sebenarnya terjadi adalah identitas saya dihapus seluruhnya. Mereka memutus semua hubungan dengan keluarga asli saya," kata Indra.

Setelah dewasa, Indra menyadari bahwa yang dialaminya saat balita bukan adopsi, tapi diperdagangkan.

Soal keinginannya untuk jadi WNI, Indra mengaku mengikuti dinamika di internet yang dipenuhi keresahan-keresahan warga Indonesia.

Namun, Indra menekankan upayanya untuk mendapatkan kewarganegaraan Indonesia didorong pencarian atas keadilan.

Pengalaman adopsinya bukan sebatas adopsi biasa. Dia dicabut dari akarnya, dipisahkan dari keluarga aslinya, dan semua diselesaikan tanpa dia bersedia memberikan persetujuan.
