JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV - Kongres Wanita Indonesia atau Kowani mengadakan pergelaran wastra karya Guruh Soekarnoputra. Acara ini dalam rangka menyambut 100 tahun Kowani sekaligus memperingati Hari Batik Nasional.Beragam kebudayaan Indonesia ditampilkan dalam pagelaran wastra karya Guruh Soekarnoputra di The Dharmawangsa, Jakarta Selatan, Jumat, 10 Oktober. Mulai dari tarian Nusantara, musik dan lagu, hingga peragaan busana.
Guruh menuturkan, karya wastra yang ditampilkan peragawan di atas panggung kebanyakan menggunakan teknik membatik dan celup ikat.
Ketua Kowani, Nannie Hadi Tjahjanto, mengapresiasi karya Guruh yang dinilai luar biasa.
Ia berharap generasi muda semakin mengenal karya wastra ciptaan seniman hebat Indonesia.
Peragaan busana karya Guruh Soekarnoputra ditampilkan oleh puluhan peragawan. Acara ini dihadiri publik figur hingga tokoh-tokoh di bidang tata busana.
