شاهزاده رضا پهلوی در پیامی ویدیویی با اشاره به مرگ علی خامنهای، اعلام کرد جمهوری اسلامی «نفسهای پایانی» خود را میکشد و بهزودی با اراده مردم ایران «به زبالهدان تاریخ» خواهد رفت.او با تأکید بر اینکه ملت ایران خواهان سقوط کامل جمهوری اسلامی است، از مقامات باقیمانده حکومت خواست تسلیم مردم شوند، به «برنامه و سامانه گذار» اعلام وفاداری کنند و بدون خونریزی بیشتر قدرت را واگذار کنند.
شاهزاده رضا پهلوی همچنین هرگونه تلاش برای تعیین جانشین برای خامنهای را «از پیش شکستخورده» دانست و گفت فرد جایگزین فاقد مشروعیت خواهد بود و در جنایات حکومت شریک است.
او خطاب به نیروهای نظامی، انتظامی و امنیتی خواستار پیوستن آنان به مردم و «انقلاب شیروخورشید» شد و تأکید کرد سلاحها باید در خدمت دفاع از ملت باشد، نه حفظ جمهوری اسلامی.
در بخش دیگری از این پیام، وی از مردم ایران خواست با حفظ امنیت خود، حمایتشان را از سرنگونی حکومت نشان دهند و برای «حضور گسترده و تعیینکننده در خیابانها» آماده باشند. او همچنین از ایرانیان خارج از کشور خواست صدای مردم داخل ایران را به جهان برسانند و حمایت از آنچه «دخالت بشردوستانه» خواند، تقویت کنند.
شاهزاده رضا پهلوی در پایان تأکید کرد روزهای حساسی در پیش است و مردم ایران «همراه یکدیگر مسیر پیروزی» را طی خواهند کرد.
