Utilisé par le phytoplancton pour la photosynthèse ou dissout par réaction chimique au contact de l’eau, le CO2 est aspiré dans les profondeurs par cette prodigieuse pompe à carbone qu’est l’océan. Mais la concentration de CO2 qui a bondi depuis 150 ans perturbe le bon fonctionnement du cycle du carbone. Que se passe-t-il sous la surface océanique ?
