Una mujer de 28 años murió el 2 de octubre en Siberia. Trabajaba en el Instituto de Investigación Antipeste de Irkutsk, uno de los centros donde Rusia estudia la bacteria que causa la peste. Casi 200 personas quedaron bajo observación médica, se cerró el área de internamiento de un hospital y la OMS pidió explicaciones durante días.Rusia dice que no fue peste. La OMS dice que no sabe qué fue. No se ha publicado ni un solo resultado de laboratorio.
