Cory Klippsten walks through all four. The war with Iran has sent energy prices soaring. The US economy simply hasn't broken down, and when everybody wants capital at the same time, the price of capital goes up. Governments are running enormous deficits. And Japan, which exported cheap money for decades, now has a 10-year yielding more than 3%.
Then what it means for Bitcoin. It sits outside the sovereign debt system, with a fixed supply that no government or central bank can control. If rates keep rising, ask yourself whether you want ALL of your wealth tied to governments, currencies, and debt markets.
