Entro il #2050 il rapporto di dipendenza sarà di appena 1,59 occupati per ogni pensionato, rendendo il sistema di #welfare, cioè le pensioni, la sanità, l'assistenza, difficilmente sostenibile. Sebbene l'occupazione dei lavoratori over 55 sia al massimo storico, la spesa pensionistica italiana resta la più alta dell'Unione Europea, con il 15,6% del PIL, e la pressione cresce anche sulla sanità.
Gli over 65 assorbono il 55% della #spesa pubblica e l'incidenza delle malattie croniche è superiore alla media europea. Con l'indebolimento delle reti familiari e la carenza di personale assistenziale, la domanda di servizi pubblici potrebbe toccare, secondo alcune stime, quasi il 10% del PIL entro il 2050. Il sostenere una popolazione sempre più anziana, con una forza lavoro sempre più piccola, mentre una parte significativa della forza di lavoro potenziale, e mi riferisco ai giovani, resta sottoutilizzata, è il dramma dell'Unione Europea e della burocrazia europea di quello che ha realizzato il progetto europeo.
