Повернувся з російського полону. Пробув там три роки. Потрапив під ракетний обстріл у Києві. Юрій Ляшок з перших днів повномасштабного вторгнення пішов воювати. Спершу – Київщина, потім Чернігівщина. Пізніше – Херсонщина. Там і потрапив у полон. Перші дні він провів у Криму. Лікарі намагалися допомогти йому зв’язатися з мамою. Вона чекала вдома. Згодом передали звістку, що він живий. Але мама не дочекалася. Відійшла з життя раніше, ніж Юрій повернувся. Щойно вдома – знову обстріл. Квартира, де він жив разом із мамою, пошкоджена. Потім ще раз.Як Юрій тримався у полоні.
