While addressing the U.S.-Saudi Economic Forum, US President Donald Trump again mentioned the conflict between Indian and Pakistan and yet again claimed credit for the ceasefire. Though this time, he claimed to have threatened both countries with 350% tariffs. Any tariff above 50% is considered a de facto embargo. India and the US are trying to finalise a two-part trade deal - the first part addresses the tariffs, and the second to sign a free trade deal. India has already signed an agreement to buy cooking gas, LPG, from the US. It has also increased the purchase of U.S. weapons as part of a $92 million deal. Meanwhile, India has reduced its arms export from Russia from 62% to 34%. Palki Sharma tells you more.
