NEW Power Apps Formula Bar Feature Every Maker Should Try

Power Apps just made working with Power Fx formulas a lot better.

In this video, I show you the new Formula Bar experience in Canvas Power Apps, including how to pop out the Formula Bar and work with larger formulas in a much more comfortable editing experience.

Using a simple Expense Management app connected to SharePoint, I walk through real Power Fx examples such as:
- search, filter, and sort logic in a gallery
- adding an All option to SharePoint Choice values
- using ForAll, Sequence, CountRows, Choices, and Index
- creating reusable logic in App Formulas
- checking whether the current user is an Admin
- using named formulas across the app
- adding comments to make larger formulas easier to understand

The big takeaway is simple: once your Power Fx formulas start getting larger, the popped-out Formula Bar makes them much easier to read, edit, and maintain.

If you build Canvas Power Apps regularly, this is a feature you should definitely try.
