Nel racconto di un'incursione di coloni armati contro alcune case palestinesi, il termine scelto per descrivere gli assalitori — "escursionisti" — ha suscitato indignazione diffusa, mentre un secondo servizio, andato in onda sempre sulla rete Rai, ha attirato ulteriori critiche per l'uso della parola "arabi" al posto di "palestinesi".
A tornare sulla vicenda, ai microfoni di Giorgio #Bianchi a Un Giorno Speciale, è Claudia #Carpinella, giornalista di #InsideOver: "Purtroppo ce ne siamo occupati perché vorremmo non dover mettere mano a queste notizie, eppure ci sono. Tutti noi abbiamo visto il servizio di Giovan Battista #Brunori in cui definiva i coloni degli escursionisti, come se stessero sul Monte Terminillo a fare una gita, e invece erano armati e stavano facendo l'ennesima irruzione nel villaggio, armati, malmenando chiunque trovassero davanti a sé, anche un bambino, tentando di irrompere nelle case dei palestinesi. Eppure abbiamo sentito chiamarli, definirli escursionisti."
