Cécile McLorin Salvant, cantante jazz statunitense, tra le voci più interessanti del panorama musicale mondiale, vincitrice di tre Grammy Awards, ha chiuso domenica 23 novembre la 49esima edizione del Roma Jazz festival diretto da Mario Ciampà. Sul palco della sala Sinopoli, all’Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, accompagnata da Sullivan Fortner al pianoforte, Yasushi Nakamura al contrabbasso e Kyle Poole alla batteria, l’artista ha portato dal vivo il suo ultimo lavoro discografico «Oh Snap», osannato dalla critica. Voce potente, ma anche profonda e delicata, la McLorin Salvant ha accompagnato il numeroso pubblico in sala nel suo caleidoscopico mondo fatto di cambi di registri e sonorità che hanno attraversato il jazz, lo swing, il rhythm and blues, il folk, fino all’elettronica.
