Documentaire disponible jusqu'au 30/09/2026Face au béton et à l'acier, stars de l'architecture moderne, le bois retrouve progressivement ses lettres de noblesse. Principal matériau de construction pendant des millénaires, il a été progressivement écarté, notamment en raison de son caractère inflammable. Quant au bambou, qui pousse dans une grande partie du monde, son potentiel reste encore largement ignoré.
L'utilisation de ces matériaux organiques présente pourtant des atouts indéniables, car ils absorbent le dioxyde de carbone présent dans l'atmosphère. Dans ce deuxième volet, des chercheurs et des architectes présentent leurs travaux autour du bois et du bambou, et évoquent également d'autres pistes pour l'avenir, comme le sel et le mycélium, ce réseau racinaire sur lequel poussent les champignons.
