El influencer y activista cubanoamericano Alex Otaola reaccionó durante su programa Hola! Ota-Ola a declaraciones del actual Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, sobre la situación política en Cuba.Durante una intervención pública, Johnson afirmó que el sistema cubano atraviesa un proceso de desgaste propio de los regímenes socialistas y sugirió que un eventual cambio político en la isla podría producirse sin necesidad de una intervención militar directa de Estados Unidos.
El líder de la Cámara de Representantes también recordó que Cuba se encuentra a apenas 90 millas de Florida y forma parte del entorno geopolítico inmediato de Estados Unidos, por lo que su evolución política sigue siendo un tema relevante dentro de la agenda de seguridad hemisférica.
En el programa, Otaola comentó estas declaraciones y subrayó que las palabras del Speaker representan una opinión política dentro del debate en Washington, mientras que las decisiones finales sobre cualquier estrategia hacia Cuba dependerían de la administración presidencial y del desarrollo de los acontecimientos en la isla.
