Palestinian journalist Ali al-Samoudi freed after enduring torture in Israeli detention
After a year in Israeli detention without trial or charge, Palestinian journalist Ali al-Samoudi has been released.The Palestinian Prisoners' Society says Samoudi faced a systematic starvation policy at the prison.
It also says he faced abuse and torture under Israeli detention.
Samoudi was one of the journalists working with Al Jazeera's Shireen Abu Akleh when she was fatally shot in the head by an Israeli sniper in 2022.
