Die russische Offensive nimmt nach Einschätzung von Ex-Nato-General Erhard Bühler keine Fahrt auf. Das Gegenteil sei der Fall. Gerassimov sprach jüngst davon, dass die russische Armee seit Jahresbeginn 1.700 Quadratkilometer erobert habe. "Dafür gibt es keinen Beweis", so Bühler. Das passe auch nicht zu dem, was an Informationen verfügbar sei. Die US-Einrichtung Institute for the Study of War hat russische Geländegewinne von 380 Quadratkilometern errechnet.
