Tribute rally in Paris for 23-year-old far-right activist fatally beaten in Lyon
A rally is taking place in Paris after the fatal beating of a 23-year-old man associated with a far-right group.The victim, identified only as Quentin, was assaulted by “Antifa” activists on the sidelines of a conference at a university in Lyon.
He was taking part in a protest against an appearance at the campus by Rima Hassan, a French-Palestinian politician.
Hassan has often been targeted for speaking out against Israel's genocide in Gaza.
This incident has exacerbated tensions between the French far-right and hard-left, who are both eyeing the 2027 presidential elections.
