President Donald Trump publicly rejected Iran’s latest seven-day roadmap to end the monthslong conflict, calling the proposal "unacceptable" as he departed the White House on Saturday. Transmitted through Qatari mediators during the United Nations General Assembly, Tehran's initiative offered to immediately reopen the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz and resume nuclear talks within a week. The offer was contingent on the United States lifting its naval blockade on Iranian ports, waiving oil sanctions, and observing a comprehensive ceasefire that included Lebanon. Dismissing the deal, Trump asserted that a tightening economic squeeze has left Iran "losing so badly" and desperate for cash.
