Serangan ini terjadi setelah Israel mengeluarkan perintah evakuasi untuk tiga pelabuhan utama di Yaman.
Israel menyebut langkah itu sebagai respons terhadap peluncuran rudal dari Yaman yang gagal mencapai wilayah udaranya.
Dikutip dari Palestine Chronicle, dua serangan udara menghantam dermaga pelabuhan Hodeidah.
Juru bicara militer Israel mengklaim insiden ini sebagai penggunaan pertama angkatan laut dalam kampanye militer terhadap Yaman.
Sementara itu, Menteri Pertahanan Israel memuji serangan tersebut dan memperingatkan adanya blokade laut jika serangan dari Yaman berlanjut.
Sebagai informasi, serangan ini merupakan yang keempat sejak operasi militer Israel dilanjutkan seusai gencatan senjata.
Adapun infrastruktur penting di Yaman terus menjadi sasaran serangan, termasuk pelabuhan, bandara, dan pembangkit listrik.
Meski demikian, roket dari wilayah Yaman masih diluncurkan Houthi ke zona Israel tengah.
Bahkan kelompok Houthi menegaskan serangan mereka akan berlanjut hingga Israel mengakhiri agresi di Jalur Gaza.
