Varias familias, algunas con menores de edad, afectadas el pasado 30 de mayo de 2025 por un incendio en el edificio Hines, de La Habana Vieja, continúan desprotegidas. Las lluvias recientes han empeorado las condiciones del lugar, han causado más pérdidas y provocado cortocircuitos.
Bebés, ancianos y personas enfermas pasaron varios días a la intemperie, sin los servicios básicos. La respuesta institucional ha sido tardía, fragmentada y, según denuncias, insensible. Las autoridades los han amenazado con que regresen a sus cuartos en los que no existen las condiciones mínimas para vivir.
