Although the era of steam came to an end, the Big Boys survived to be living witnesses to the legacy they forged with effort during their work in World War II, as a symbol of the industrial strength that sustained the country, and which now, with the restoration of model 4014 in 2019, reminds us that the spirit of an era when steel and determination propelled an entire nation toward the future still runs on the tracks.
